Lynn Foster resides in the coastal town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Having previously worked in the horse racing industry for fifteen years, Lynn has developed a keen eye for detail on the individual traits of animals.
Lynn's paintings always reflect the animals characteristics which is why she likes to see the animal that is being painted. In the absence of meeting the animal, Lynn likes the owner to describe the subjects character.
Painting has been a life long interest for Lynn and has a particular penchant for animal portraits with dogs, horses and cats being the three main subjects. Other subjects Lynn has been commissioned to take on have been motorbikes and people portraits.
Photography is a key part of Lynn's work and where ever possible Lynn prefers to take her own photographs to work from. If this is not possible then Lynn can work from good photographs taken by the owner.
More recently Lynn has attended dog shows in the North Yorkshire area to promote her work to a wider audience, this in turn has proved to be very successful as the dog owners see the qualty of Lynns work.
When time allows Lynn likes to travel to foreign lands to discover the culture, cuisine and landscape. Adventure activities from whitewater rafting and mountain trekking to scuba diving always feature on Lynns trips and when time allows out come the paint brushes to record a vista in glorious watercolour.
